Digital Mobile Milestones BY BlackBerry - The Empathy
The Breakthrough design went through various rapid prototying process in design trial and modelling with also special software development put to test to finally come out with the “ New Blackberry Empathy Concept ”
The phone can used in conjunction with a special biometrics ring that is worn by the user to collect “emotional data”. The phone still manages full multi tasking capabilities and features a transparent OLED screen that remains transparent when not in use but turns opaque during interaction.
Considering competing in a very wide market for the Mobile phone technologies ,the New Empathy focus its target market in the social media direction in which RIM hope can drive new inspiration to revive their Blackberry brand and phones appealing to the savvies generation .
The futuristic cellphone allows quick status updates to help you know who is ready for a conversation and who is busy and cannot be disturbed. It allow easy access and connection to the user straightaway to popular sites like Facebook and MySpace for quick and enhanced messaging,
The Empathy includes proximity sensors that let you sense human natures emotions and reflects the mood with a keypad that changes color according to the emotional state, sensed from messages and phone calls, as the biometric ring transmits the body signals of wearer and sends data to the main device which interpret the data signalling different emotion state
The Empathy Phone emotional sensors works only with the biometric rings , it is able to instil much curiosity and fascination but put it in actual application will be a total different story as there is no certified system available to confirm the accuracy of such emotional rating ,
A false rating could be harmful and even with our daily interaction with friends and associate ,try never play with feeling . In case, you agree and do nit want to share your deep emotion with others, you may avoid it by simply removing the biometric ring
The concept of Social networking through portable devices is already popular among the masses, but the biometric technology may just take it to another level and since it is in infant development stages , there is no harm to give a try on its features
