Google has unveiled two new devices - the 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet and the Nexus Q social streaming device



Google has unveiled two new devices - the 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet and the Nexus Q social streaming device - at its fifth annual Google I/O developers conference.  Although the tablet carries the Google brand, the machine will be made by AsusTek Computer Inc.

With Google recent purchase  of Motorola Mobility  ; it has full  capability   to expand into the mobile device-making business  , but the company has stressed  it’s interest  and  distribution will continue to rely  on  manufacturers that support and  embraced Android   even though  their own brand of  flagship line of "Nexus" smart Mobile device is growing rapidly  ,with  the Nexus 7 tablet,  it  will further be  showcase for their new version of Google Inc.'s Android operating system called the "Jelly Bean."  


Although the tablet carries the Google brand, the machine will be made by AsusTek Computer Inc. Google recently expanded into the device-making business with its $12.5 billion purchase of Motorola Mobility, but the company has stressed that it intends to continue to rely on Asus and other manufacturers that have embraced Android.

Google  also  launch  its    first social streaming media player, Nexus Q  , a circular orbitally  look  device which  is able to stream music, HD movies, TV shows and YouTube videos to your home theater system or stereo system using Google Play. In Brief it is very much like a cloud based digital media player  with many feature thrown in.

The device can be  controlled by your Android phone or tablet but content is extracted directly from Google cloud. Google manage  to differentiate itself from similar streaming media  products   and has   incorporated  the  Nexus Q with social media  capabilities.
It   works  like a cloud-connected jukebox where everyone can share and reach  to  friends  and others with  a  same  playlist   created   by same minded friends  . Anyone in the group can access  to the playlist   and  move songs up or down on the playlist or even play a new track instantly  

The device is  an Android-powered computer with a dual-core OMAP4460 processor running Ice Cream Sandwich and 16GB inbuilt  storage capacity . Its rear panel offer connectivity options which  include an optical audio port, Ethernet jack, micro-HDMI port and a micro-USB port.
